I teach several courses in the communication studies field (public speaking, gender race & media, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, critical thinking through argumentation, conflict and communication), was the Director of Forensics for the past 3 years at the university, am a shadow instructor for incoming graduate teaching associates, and am always looking to expand my teaching repertoire.
My experience in the educational field extends well beyond the classroom. In 2013, I served as the Tutorial Services Specialist overseeing and training tutors. For five years prior to that, I worked closely with the Supplemental Instruction program at MSJC to aid in student success. I am a level III CRLA (College of Reading and Learning Association) certified tutor, which provides a strong foundation and techniques for creating independent learners. I am a motivated and enthusiastic instructor and am dedicated to student success.
I am passionate about the communication field, in particular the ability to change lives through dedication, creativity, flexibility, kindness, and hard work.
