“This professor primarily focuses on his research work. If you have any questions about the class, you're supposed to ask Theresa, not him. The subject material can be tough. However, there are plenty of useful resources available. If you're willing to put in some work, it's not too bad.”
“Don't let his humor fool you. When you're alone with him, his true nature shows. He isn't nice at all and treats you terribly. If he thinks you're cheating, he'll flunk you for the entire course, even if you're not. A lot of good students failed because of him and had to give extra time and money to make it up. If I didn't have some previous knowledge, I'd fail too.”
“There aren't a lot of chances to earn extra points for this professor.”
“The class CS 102 isn't tough. And this professor is a relaxed one. Even though there's a lot to do, none of it is too difficult.”
“This professor is awesome and worth your time to get to know. He is not hard to reach. And the best part, is you don't even need the book. He doesn't think that undergrad students should have to read it, which is pretty funny.”
“He's the worst teacher I've ever had. His directions are very confusing and he grades hard. Plus, if you ever need help, he acts very mean.”
“This professor loves sharing what he knows. However, the readings take time to do. I usually felt tired. The tests that wanted exact answers weren't my favorite. Making time for the needed 90-minute group meetings is quite tough. Don't join this class if you're very busy and you don't have a flexible schedule.”
“He's a hard grader and very picky. I have seen him act patronizing towards other students. Don't ask him questions, because he'll just make you feel dumb. He isn't patient, which he says is because he's a lawyer. Be very careful not to use your phone during his class, or he'll count you as absent, and attendance is a must. Still, his classes can be fun to listen to.”
“This professor doesn't grade anything, so it's hard to tell how you're doing in class. She doesn't answer any emails or texts. She doesn't give clear instructions and then seems upset when the work doesn't meet her expectations. I wouldn't recommend taking her class.”
“This professor uses the Cengage online program just like most teachers. I had her for my macro class and might take her for my micro class too. She doesn't grade too harshly if she sees you're trying. Her notes can be a bit hard to figure out and her lectures go super fast, but she sticks to the book. So my advice is, always bring your book to class.”
“This professor is very relaxed. He wants to help us students learn, not just focus on our grades. We were allowed to use our notes during all our tests, and they were pretty much just like our study guides but with different numbers. His classes are calm and easy-going. Also, he's good at making sure we understand the class.”
“This professor's humor is a bit boring and he seems very lazy. It seems like he doesn't put much work or spirit into teaching the class. Then we transitioned to an online class because of COVID-19, and all he has done is share videos of how to edit on Zoom. It's horrible. I wouldn't sign up for his class again.”
“A few reviews have brushed her performance because she gives extra credit. But she only does that because the class grades are just about failing. Also, she deducted many points if you don't solve problems the way she asks, even if your answer is correct.”
“Definitely, he's the best teacher I've ever had. But don't get it twisted, you can't just breeze through his class. He's super cool and likes it when people ask questions. He's got the most patience I've ever seen in a teacher. If you do what he asks and get to class punctually, ready to learn, you'll pass, no doubt about it.”
“I highly recommend this professor. She's the top teacher in this university. All you have to do is be present and get involved. The team assignment is simple to handle and pretty enjoyable. She truly values her students. One time, I messed up an assignment but she allowed me to do it over and guided me through it. I found this class fascinating, not too tough, and lots of learning.”
“He loves philosophy and it's pretty obvious. He manages to make class fun even when it's super early at 8:30, and he's always straight with us. He tells us exactly what to do. You can reach him even when class is done as well. I'd sign up for his class again without a second thought.”
“I had this professor for Abnormal Psychology and he was fantastic. He was kind and had a great sense of humor. I gained so much knowledge from his class. Read the textbook, but know that most of the information is covered in his PowerPoint presentations. Plus, we didn't have many tests and there was just one little essay we had to write that was based on a movie we watched in class, which I enjoyed watching. He also provides helpful study guides for us to fill out.”
“This professor was the most sincere and inspiring teacher I've ever had. Attendance was mandatory. And his early-morning classes were not a joke. It wasn't a coincidence he organized his schedule this way. You had to arrive ready to get to work. If you were awake and focused, though, his funny side and being smart made it all worthwhile.”
“She's one of the best professors that I've ever had. Her talks are fun and she's always there to answer any questions. Just a tip, you'll need her lecture notes so make sure you go to class because she doesn't put them on the internet. Here's another bonus, she gives out extra points quizzes if you attend her class. In conclusion, she's a fantastic teacher.”
“This professor loves the topics he teaches. You don't need the textbook if you review your notes from class. You can also earn extra points in class quizzes by boosting your test grade by more than 10 points. If your test score is over 100, you can't keep the extra points but this seems fair. The tests aren't too tough. You just need to study.”
